One of Play’n GO’s slot machines, Legacy of Egypt isn’t as much a game where the theme is important, the focus of the developer being on making the features unique and fun. I think that they largely succeeded and that they have a good slot on their hands, but let’s see what it has to offer first.
Players that are trying out Legacy of Egypt will do so with 30 active lines, which can deliver top jackpots of $450,000 at most, though individual wins don’t go higher than $15,000 per line. You will get wilds, scatters and free spins where 10x multipliers are not out of the question. Add a Wheel of the Gods and Wild Scatters for the free spins feature, and things get a lot more interesting, as the chance of triggering Pyramid Spins is also there.
Betting and Prizes
As is true of most new games from Play’n GO, the betting is going to be done via the buttons located at the bottom. Click directly on the amount that you want to use, so you don’t have to fiddle with different dials. Your choices will range between $0.30 and $90.
Normally, you wouldn’t expect to win more than $1,500 from a single win in Legacy of Egypt, but thanks to the free spins and their multipliers, the value can jump to $15,000. Add the fact that you get 30 lines, and the slot can pay up to $450,000 during the free spins. We know the slot’s Return to Player percentage as well, this figure being at 96.50%.
Legacy of Egypt Slot Features
The feature lists looks normal enough at first, with wilds and scatters mentioned as ways for you to get access to free spins or to the slot’s best wins. The wild will be the one substituting for other symbols and paying up to 500x if it forms combinations, using the image of the Scarab for itself.
As the scatter, they chose the Pyramid with the Eye of Ra painted on the side. You also get a reward from these symbols, 5x the bet if you have 3 or more visible. At the same time, they’re going to trigger the free spins for you.
At the start of the feature, the Wheel of the Gods will load up and will spin. It will stop on a number, between 3 and 20, which decides how many free spins are triggered. Multipliers of up to 10x are available during the free spins, and they’re picked at random each round.
The Scatter symbols are also used as wilds for the duration of the free spins. Have two of these Pyramid Wild Scatters appear at the same time, to trigger Pyramid Spins. You will use the Wheel of the Gods once again, to trigger up to 8 Pyramid Spins. The multiplier will be the one that was used in the triggering free game.
Theme & Design
The theme in itself is not particularly interesting, not for a game that revolves around Ancient Egypt. The quality is one of the best that I’ve ever seen, I’ll agree to that at least. Great graphics are not enough to make a game based on Ancient Egypt fun though. The images chosen for symbols are unique for some of the positions, with the represented gods having heads of birds, crocodiles, or coyotes. Cleopatra and the Pharaoh are shown as well. Lastly, the symbols with the lowest value have playing cards, elegant ones though.
Don’t count on the theme to make the game interesting for you, but those features might just be enough to help you enjoy this slot.
